About The Maple Tree

If you haven’t previously heard of us, we are a community charity based in Wheatley aiming to replace some universal services that were lost when local Children’s Centres closed in 2017. We serve families from Wheatley and surrounding villages, including Great Milton. You can find us on the Littleworth Road-based between the wooden Army Cadet hut and Wheatley registry office. Parking is limited so please do park safely.

We hold various weekly drop-in sessions including Baby & Toddler, Stay and Play, Once Upon a Rhyme-time, a monthly Saturdays session and more. The Health Visiting team are with us on a Wednesday morning so you can bring along your baby to be weighed and they will also answer any questions or concerns you may have. We aim to provide school holiday activities for older children, including forest school sessions and cooking groups.
