Collect
Almighty and everlasting God,
you have given us your servants grace,
by the confession of a true faith,
to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity
and in the power of the divine majesty to worship the Unity:
keep us steadfast in this faith,
that we may evermore be defended from all adversities;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
(or)
Holy God,
faithful and unchanging:
enlarge our minds with the knowledge of your truth,
and draw us more deeply into the mystery of your love,
that we may truly worship you,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Post Communion
Almighty and eternal God,
you have revealed yourself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
and live and reign in the perfect unity of love:
hold us firm in this faith,
that we may know you in all your ways
and evermore rejoice in your eternal glory,
who are three Persons yet one God,
now and for ever.
Notices:
Evensong at St George’s Chapel, Windsor
The Dean and Canons of St George’s Chapel, Windsor, are inviting members of our three churches to attend Evensong on Sunday 9 June, at 5.15 pm. They have been the Patrons of St Peter’s since 1478, and since 2014 they have looked after our 17th-century silver Communion set, which will be on display at the service. The music for the service has not yet been announced. I will need to give them fairly accurate numbers, so please let me know if you intend to come. Transport and parking are up to individuals (though car-sharing is a good idea), but there are one or two spaces inside the Castle for cars with disabled passengers: I can arrange a security pass if you let me know.
